David Hewett, CEO
Dave Hewett is the founder of Airtec and the visionary behind its innovative technology. Recognising a gap in the market for a safer, more reliable alternative to forecourt air inflation, Dave partnered with industry experts in Singapore to develop the Digital Tyre Inflators now widely used across Oceania. A pioneer in On-Board Mass (OBM) management, he introduced Airtec’s first truck scale model 15 years ago and has since continued to refine and advance the technology to meet evolving TCA regulatory compliance requirements. Well respected in the transport sector, Dave is a familiar face in the industry, known for his dedication to enhancing safety, efficiency, and compliance.
Jacinta Lane, General Manager
Jacinta Lane is the General Manager at Airtec, bringing over four years of expertise in On-Board Mass (OBM) technology and regulations. With a background in the travel industry, Jacinta transitioned to Airtec during the COVID-19 pandemic and has since become a key leader in the field. Holding a Diploma in Accounting, she combines her financial acumen with deep industry knowledge to drive innovation and compliance. Passionate about sharing insights, Jacinta is frequently seen presenting at industry events or working closely with customers on-site across Australia, ensuring they maximise the benefits of OBM technology.
David Morton, Chief Engineer
Dave Morton is the Chief Engineer at Airtec, leading the development of intelligent technical solutions that drive innovation in the industry. With a hands-on approach, Dave works closely with both the field-service team and customers to ensure Airtec’s smart On-Board Mass (OBM) technology operates at peak performance. Constantly focused on new initiatives, he plays a key role in advancing Airtec’s cutting-edge solutions.
Bringing a wealth of experience from working with major brands like Fisher & Paykel Healthcare in Auckland, NZ, Dave has a deep understanding of complex engineering challenges. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering with First Class Honours in Electronics and Computers from Massey University. His expertise and leadership continue to shape the future of OBM technology at Airtec.
Bill Curtis - Operations Manager
Bill Curtis is the Adelaide Operations Manager at Airtec, overseeing inventory management and customer service to ensure seamless operations. With over 20 years of experience in customer service and warehousing at Bridgestone, Bill brings a deep understanding of logistics and the transport industry.
Known for his expertise in “truckie talk,” Bill has become a key figure in Airtec’s Smart On-Board Mass (OBM) division, building strong relationships with customers and ensuring they get the most from Airtec’s technology. His hands-on approach and industry knowledge make him an integral part of the team, delivering top-tier support and service across the sector.
